I would wear your kilt .. everyone will be there to enjoy the music anyway. I am sure there are many on xmarks just like myself who have worn their kilt in amongst thousands of people and been the only one there kilted. Just be yourself and merge with the rest and enjoy yourself. You will be fine.

I understand that since you ask us here at the forum, it is not to get for or against arguments. What you want is to bust up your confidence to take the only right decision.
We will all be disappointed if you do not go kilted . I know how you feel, it is difficult to dive into it, but when you'r there in your kilt it feels just so right. We must hear how it went.
Lykke til, skål!

Wear your most musically-inspired kilt... and wear it with pride!
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Being new to the kilt myself, I can understand your doubts. Ask yourself this: Will I regret it latter if I don't wear the kilt? Only you can answer that, but personally I think I would regret it.

No advice against it. Well, what else could I have expected from you here? And I should certainly regret, if I didn't take the opportunity. So right now, odds are for it.
Thank you everyone. I'll keep you informed.

Go kilted, take pictures, and post them here! Remember: No pictures - it didn't happen.

One of the things that tipped me in the direction of wearing the kilt was seeing a young man in his kilt and jacket attending a performance of Spamalot here in Chicago. We went on the evening of Christmas Day and this young man looked so good that it pretty much "put the nail in the coffin" as per my deciding to go out and get a kilt.
Thus, I would echo Jock Scot and say, "Just do it!"
A Dane in a kilt? How about a Chicagoan in a kilt...or a Vancouverite in a kilt or a....

I'm going to leave for the concert in about 15 minutes. And I'm doing it. I have taken this picture a few minutes ago. Ready to go.
5 yard woollen kilt, Douglas Modern tartan. Dark grey kilthose and tie. Black jacket, altered by a seemstress. Black semi-dress sporran, belt & buckle and shoes.
