Slanj?
Hi guys. I'm planning to have an SNP tartan kilt made in the next few months and it seems the only company who stocks the tartan is Slanj - who designed the tartan on behalf of the party. They generally charge quite a bit more than standard shops that employ kiltmakers and I'm hoping this will reflect on the quality.
I'm wondering if any of you guys have bought from Slanj before and how you would rate their quality of your kilt?

I ordered my wedding Kilt from them.
Their service was impaccable but for one thing... Three weeks before the wedding there was no word on the Kilt. (I had ordered it 3 months before that.)
I went into the shop only to find they'd forgotten to place the order for the old and rare tartan.
They gave me a full refund and said they'd discount any other Kilt I had made.
The Kilts I tried on in there were of great quality so I'd say go for it.

They're one of the most obvious places to people who want their first kilt fitted and they dont mind paying... they havent replied to my email in 3 days with a price though!

They quoted me £345 for it plated to the stripe... not too bad!
Need to save now

Sounds like a plan Paul. Before you know it, you'll be posting photos of your new kilt.

I've been in the shop a few times for various bits & pieces, and they've always struck me as pretty helpful and on the ball. Surprised to hear about the failed order & missed emails, tbh - they seem to make a big play of their organised, modern approach.
SNP tartan, eh? Could there be anything more Scottish?
Enjoy every sandwich.

haha... I'm not sure!
I was looking for a dark grey and black tartan for something a bit more subtle... and I put on my SNP tartan scarf just about every day in these winter days. then it struck me - get the SNP tartan!
Slanj are the designers of it and they seem to be the only ones with it in stock.
Here's a picture of Bashir Ahmed (RIP), Alex Salmond and Aileen Campbell sporting the tartan:

Hey, I do like that tartan! The yellow stripe really stands out nicely. For dark and subtle, though, I'm still happy with my Highland Granite kilt, made by the renowned Prof. Tewksbury.
