Oh, but the saber-tooth tiger pleated to the stripe -- THAT was a kilt and a half!

Well, one can make a long list of inaccuracies in "Braveheart".

    As well as, "Gallipoli".

    "The Patriot", too.

And don't forget, "We Were Soldiers".

Then you could divert from specifically Gibson's movies to one's like "U-571". Not a historic page in the script.

Those who fail to study history are doomed to learn it from Hollywood! Then they get to repeat it.

Looking for history lessons from a movie is like expecting honesty and integrity from a politician. Why would anyone be upset over historical inaccuracies in a movie?

It was a very good movie. And Henry Thomas Buckle was a famous historian, but Buckle probably made lousy movies.

This wasn't the first time Mel Gibson has admitted to the errors and that Randy Wallace has defended the 'Bind Harry' version. Not news.

Given how the Gibson family moved from the suburbs of New York City--where Mel was born and raised--to Australia forty years ago, as he was approaching draft age during the Viet Nam war, I have always taken his take on patriotism with a grain of salt.

I thought he moved when he was 12. That's a bit young for the Army.

I've never seen Braveheart. Overlooking any historical inaccuracies, is it a good movie?

To be fair, Gibson was twelve when his family moved. Not so much his idea.

And Australia was involved in the Vietnam war too...
