on this Rememberance Day, I remember those who fallen... and with WWI, the Marine Infantry unit, I served in, served in France with distinction.. 6th Marine Regiment along with the 5th Marines fought at Belleau Woods,Soissons, and Champagne and earned the right to wear a French Fourragere, which I, and all members of the 5th and 6th Marine Regiments, proudly wore.. Those men who gave their lives will not be forgotten, as well as all those who gave their lives, while fighting for freedom.

And rest for awhile in the warm summer sun,
I've been walking all day, and I'm nearly done.
And I see by your gravestone you were only 19
When you joined the glorious fallen in 1916,

Did they Beat the drum slowly, did the play the pipes lowly?
Did the rifles fir o'er you as they lowered you down?
Did the bugles sound The Last Post in chorus?

In some loyal heart is your memory enshrined?
And, though you died back in 1916,
