You guys don't worry- If this is bogus, then you can dispute the charges and get your money back. If you go to the auction and look at the buying history, you'll se there are TONS of orders from this bolt (A good majority of Xmarkers-thats awesome). so he may be swamped cutting and packing.

Nooo! I'm too late! The listing has ended... ...and I think I may've overdone it on the emoticons.

I'm not worried, just jonesing and wondering how long it'll take the fabric to make it to the USofA.

I ordered some of it myself. I've worked on regimental weight tartan before, and it it is wonderful to work on.

And it is fabulous for a box pleated kilt. In fact, the pics of the box pleated kilt "in progress" in the downloadable box pleat instructions supplement that I wrote is in regimental weight - it's a kilt for one of our XMarkers.

And don't forget that you can download the box pleat instructions at

It is great stuff to work with. I wish more tartans were available in it! I would then recommend it all the time!

Hi Rawlinson, if you are interested in the material, send Bill at Argyll Kilts an email. I ordered after the listing had expired. There still may be some available.

I bought a 4 meter piece of MAcKenzie that was from a regimental bolt and made my first box pleat with it. It is the PERFECT weight for such a kilt and thats what I plan on doing with 1/2 of the material!

Matt had made my 4-yard box pleat out of this material and it is an excellent kilt. Heavy weight or regimental weight is the way to go for kilts IMHO.

I emailed them today and received a reply. "Bill" stated he would get back to me tomorrow about how/when it was shipped. I'll remain optimistic at this point.
