I have finished my first X-kilt!
It turned out to be a little to big but in total I'm quite happy with it.

I will make another one out of the fabric that is left. Some adjustments, corrections and modifications.

Pictures are coming as soon as I can. The kilt has not been washed yet so it will not look pretty...

It wasn't hard at all sewing the kilt. But it took some effort to do the measurements. The instructions are great and fun to follow! I had to find me a ruler with inches, because I didn't want to translate all the measurements to centimeters...

I had my kilt on all night yesterday while putting up a new lamp in the kitchen cieling. Much easier to climb up the bench and step up and down the stool I had.

I also have bought a Blåkläder workmans kilt wich is made from heavy weight cotton and my X-kilt is much lighter and cooler to wear. The Blåkläder kilt do not have the best fit on my body, but it's quite practical with all the pockets and other things attached to it. I'm quite sure that many of you wouldn't even call it a kilt...

Picture of me clearing snow from the path to my father in laws house at christmas. I was not as cold as one could expect although I should have worn my wool knee socks... and a hat and my boots... It was about -2 deg celsius.
