In looking at them, I bet someone figured "Meh...close enough."

    Cool No Reply From Ralph

I checked my e-mail at work, no reply from Ralph to my last e-mail to him. This ends my involvement with the slick con men from Scottish Kilt Rental/Clansman Knitwear. I looked on Ebay and the tartan Ralph's boys wrote up on the sales slip as Irish National is called Irish Heritage. Irish National is a dark green and the kilt and sash sold to me are Kelly Green. Well, live and learn from this experience.

Got an e-mail from the BBB of Western Pa. Ralph and company would not respond to them. So they have closed the file on and listed it as such.

Wow - I wish I had seen this thread before. I had ordered a Jacobite shirt from his website about a month and a half ago. Never heard a peep out of him on whether it had been shipped or what. But my credit card was indeed charged. So I emailed him. No response. I called. No answer. Finally after several days of calling, I got a hold of him (and it was a thick Scottish accent, although I can't vouch for whether it's real or not). He didn't want my order number or anything, he just wanted to know what the item was. I told him it was a Jacobite kilt shirt. He said it would ship by the end of the week.

Well, by the end of the next week it had not shown up. So I called him back again. No answer. After several more days of calling, I finally got a hold of him again and he told me the shirts were back-ordered and that it would be a while before he got more in from Scotland. I told him to cancel the order and refund my credit card. Thankfully, he did. So I ordered elsewhere.

It galled me, though, that he never bothered to tell me he didn't have my shirt in stock or make any attempt whatsoever to contact me and let me know what was going on.

I had already decided not to do business with him again, but after reading this thread, it reinforces that notion.

    Cool Well That Figures.

I fail to see how Ralph runs a company with poor customer service. This however doesn't surprise me with my dealings with him and what I have seen elsewhere on line from former customers. What really bothers me is that his reps show up at Highland Games and sweet talk the unknowing customers aka suckers like me and my wife. Then on line with his two websites. Its good that you got a refund from them. Be sure to spread the word about Ralph and his two companies to your friends who are interested in purchasing kilt related items.
