As he was putting on his kilt last night for a casual function last night, he mentioned that he wanted a real sporan belt. As much as he loves his celtic tooled belt his current "sporan" doesn't lay right with it.

You can get a very nice sporran for $50-75, so do some shopping around. Rockey is offering a sale starting next week.

Much as I hate to go against the flow, I would not do a Buzz Kidder. I looks too . . .oh, I don't know . . . non-traditional? they're nice, but I would only wear one of that style for hiking or something like that.

I second the recommendation on Buzz Kidder day sporrans. They're solid. I own two of them and like them just fine, and they're within your budget.

I have spent the past few weeks busting my backside sewing a Ghost of Christmas past gown for a "A christmas Carol" production in town. I'm planning on using the money I make from that to get him the belt and sporan.
I'll look at the places you recomended. Also someone mentioned a waistcoat. His birthday is a couple months after Christmas, I might surprise him with one of those for his birthday.

He supports my sewing habit, and I get to walk around with a dashing man a kilt. What could be better than that. BTW he just got asked if he would wear his full kilt kit for the family photos next week. I have to make him look good don't I.
