"No pix to show us - it didn't happen."
Now I am worried! I spent three nights in Las Vegas right at the end of March this year and, whilst I have Flash Drives filled with photos and video I do not appear in any of them! That is the problem with being 'the photographer' on such trips. It was not until we got back home to the United Kingdom that I came to this realisation. Since I hope never to return to that town**, I shall never have a photo of myself there (unless I do a bit of cunning Photoshopping!)
Was I kilted? Of course I was kilted and, whilst the kilt(s) were obviously noticed, I was totally unaware of any comments or remarks being made by those around us.
**One day and three evenings on and around The Strip were more than enough for me, I'm afraid. Yes, the hotels and the attractions are both spectacular and truly amazing but having to make one's way through half-a-mile of deeply carpetted Casino on leaving/entering every station of the Monorail, and upon searching for the restaurant or buffet in any hotel, is just too much for a non-gambling man. The saving grace: the fountains at The Bellagio. My pals were of the same opinion so we took ourselves off to the Hoover Dam and to the Red Canyon to maintain our sanity! Come to think of it: I am not in many of the photos I took at those locations either!
Take care,
Ham.
