Amerikilt always turn up with a stand at all the festivals I go to. They do a very nice looking dark green kilt (and at festivals they seem to have bright RED kilts that aren't on their website), but I've never liked back pockets on trousers (that is, many of my trousers have a back pocket or two, but I almost never put anything in them) so I can't really imagine using the back pocket on an Amerikilt. That just leaves you with the 'cloth sporran' thingy that fits on the front with press-studs. What do you think of the 'cloth sporran'?
The only pocketed kilts I have bought have been Sport Kilts with the stash pocket; in fact I added the stash pocket to the one SK I had that didn't come with one. I did add a small slit pocket to one of my Xkilts the other day, appropriate for a small key chain or money clip, it may or may not stay installed.
I don't like the look of a cloth clip on sporran, but I might try cargo pockets with clips and d rings on the kilt for outdoor pursuits. I'm one of those that likes a sporran with my contemporaries.
