It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Does anyone know why the Tartans Authority seems to have dumped their old interactive weaver and replaced it with the pile of doodoo this new flash app seems to be? I have to say it's one of the nastiest pieces of programming I've seen in a long long time.

Have to agree with KennyB, the STA tartan croft thingie is a bit of a dog. Horrible to look at. It took me ages to work out how to use it at all. The results look pretty dreadful. And it almost crashed my browser to boot. They should really have stuck with their old version. Or could they not have asked scotweb to license theirs, which is a thousand times better? This nasty effort just makes the STA look pretty crummy in my view.

I would say the STA is probably "test driving" this new designer. Feedback is good. For example, when I loaded it up, it loaded on my system in seconds, and it only took me a couple of minutes to come up with a pretty nice looking (in my opinion) tartan design.
What took me a lot longer was figuring out how to save the design once I created it! lol....
