Thanks for posting these beautiful photos. I see now why you're in the tourism business.
Sorry, I wouldn't have a clue what trees were what, but I see Jockscot came to my rescue on that one. Also I'm not in the tourism business, I just like taking bus tours as they are a reasonably cost effective way to see the country. I actually run a photo mini lab in a branch of a well known 165 year old company - okay then - Boots. With the advent of digital, we are seeing off our competition, and who knows what tomorrow could bring. Film processing is dwindling, but it hasn't died off yet. I still use film, in fact these photos were shot on our own brand, then saved to cd for the purpose of posting etc.

No, not yet. I'm also finding with the cost of fuel now that I'm not taking as many days out as I used to. My car is a 2 ltr Gti and hope to get something more economical next year. Boy racer days are over !

Rest assured, Jock, that if we make our planned trip next year, I shall request a bit of your time over a wee dram at the pub of your choosing. I would hope that Darkislander is close enough to join in.
That would be nice, but I'm not that close - well to us anyway - to you folks it's just next door. We don't really get the perspective like you until we visit the likes of Canada, Australia, and the USA which I have done, and travel for miles on just road. Certainly changed things for me.

I am in awe of your photos, and of the spectacular natural wonders they depict. Many thanks!
