The Nor Cal Rabble attend a Formal Banquet and Ball

Last Saturday Night X Markers The F-H.C.A.G. , walkerk , Monkey@arms , Madalyn, Panache , and the lovely Cynthia (a.k.a. Mrs Monkey) attended the 146th Annual Banquet and Ball thrown by the St. Andrews Society of San Francisco. This event was held at the elegant Marines Memorial Club in San Francisco.

Here are a few pictures from the night

Enjoying a martini in the club's Library

    The dashing gentlemen

    The lovely ladies

    All together

    My Guiding Star and I

One of the delightful ladies of Clan Munroe specifically wanted me to share a picture of her beaded handbag with the members of xmarksthescot.com. She made this herself and was able to duplicate the Munroe tartan out of beads. She thought that some of talented craftspeople might get inspired to try there hand at this sort of work

Past President of the St. Andrew's Society and our friend Gene McKracken was the evening's Master of Ceromonies

    More pictures to follow

Looks like a nice evening attended by a rather dashing group. You certainly represented all Xmarkers well.

    Kent and Madalyn dancing

The Nor Cal Rabble have carefully reviewed the great debate concerning appropriate head gear to be worn with kilts. After much thoughtful discussion we have come to the conclusion that we prefer the pith helmet in the warm weather and fez with the cooler weather. We haven't quite pinned down the exact dates where the switch occurs but we are working on it!

Kent and Madalyn presented us with each with a fez and we were most grateful.

It was an absolutely splendid evening among friends and we thank Gene McCracken for inviting us and congratulate him and the St. Andrews Society of San Francisco on hosting such a wonderful event.

Hopefully walkerk and XMTS' favorite Monkey (hmmm...come to think of it, he's our only monkey ) will post their photos as well.

    Cheers

    Jamie :ootd:
