I agree, well handled and good fortune that you were covered underneath.
While you laughed it off, you should keep in mind that since you were out in a public place (you point out that children were running around), her exposing you that way could have led to legal action being taken against you by the police. In some towns, it wouldn't matter if someone else caused it, you can be charged with having exposed yourself.
