    Hi All

At the onset let me say that I've lived in both Arizona, and North Dakota andI am not fond of extreme heat or cold!

That being said I find the kilt a viable garment in all weather with the proper accouterments.

You kind folks up in Canada have gifted us with an Artic cold air bubble here and that has produced wind chill warnings and nice comfy sub-zero temps farenheit. LOL I've worn the kilt with these temps, and as long as I use common sense and keep my core, head, feet and hands properly protected I'm ok. I have a 16oz strome 8 yard tank that stand up to it all with wind.

My advise as others have said is to limit your time in the servere stuff and go with layers on the torso coupled with good hose shoes and headgear and you'll be alright. Underwear won't hurt either.

In weather like this I favor my heavy pea coat that weighs a ton with sleeves that come down tho my knuckles and a collar that rises nearly to the crown of my head. I couple that with an wool Caubeen and a pair of "Ear Grips" and I'm good to go. If I really feel that I need to I turn the cuffs of my kilt hose up over my knees. I rarely need to but i'm not too proud to do it. LOL

I just heard that the wind chill is -30 F below.

Did I mention I really, really, dislike windy artic air bubbles! I'm getting to old for this stuff!

    Slainte'
