I wore my kilt Saturday evening with a long sleeve shirt, wool socks, and a north face fleece vest and I was the warmest between me and my two companions. Obviously it doesn't get that cold here in Texas especially in December, but I think it still illustrates that not a lot of heat is lost when wearing a kilt. I was actually burning up later on in the evening as it got colder, and my son and friend were shivering in their coats and pants.
