Merry Christmas from Paul & Sòl!

Merry Christmas to you all from myself and my snowman Sòl!
You may notice he's looking a little slim as he's been starving himself for our Christmas meal and lots of Christmas pudding (and Guinness!).

You may also notice I'm wearing a new kilt. It's in the Fraser Ancient tartan and was an absolute bargain off ebay. A charity shop had it listed and I had won the bid for £27.87. As it was for the St. Albans Grove House Charity I thought it was only right to round this up to my maximum bid - which was £50. Still a great price for a mediumweight 8yard kilt pleated to the white stripe!

    A cropped pleat shot:

I bought some really thick, comfortable hose from NorCalPiper around a month ago. They seem to match the blue in the kilt perfectly!

And finally - another bargain from ebay! My "Celtic brooch" - which is now one of my favourite kilt pins! (excuse the camera flash!)

Hope you all have/had a great day!

    Merry Christmas!

Just FYI, your kilt is actually in the Fraser ancient tartan.

Since you bought it off of Ebay, I'm sure you were simply misinformed about the name of the tartan.

Great looking kilt, looks like it fits you well (better than your snowman's!).

What a well-spotted bargain Paul! Well done! It suits you well and don't you just love the way bomber-style jackets work with our kilts?

I like the hose very much too, and I must have missed something along the way if NorCalPiper is selling them.

A Happy New Year to you.

    Take care,
    Ham.

Many thanks for that. Sorry, I previously had no idea of these - never having picked up on your website, I suppose. My loss! I'll take a closer look in the New Year.

All Good Wishes for 2010, and

    Take care,
    Ham.

Paul, I was much relieved to find out that Sol is a snowman. Reading the title of your thread, I was fearful you had ditched the lovely Laura! Great purchases there, friend. You look grand!
