    Stilletto Rebel,
Did you also get the flashes from SWK? I don't see the saffron flashes listed on their website. Thanks.

I did. But looking at the website I notice not all the standard kilts now offer free flashes...

Saffron works with Navy Blue too.

Took my saffron out on Christmas day for the Robert Downey "Sherlock Holmes" premiere.

I will say this, next time I go with Jerry's heavy weight. The Acrylic is nice easy care but it does pill. ith:

Okay, I'm sold. It looks very nice!!!!!!!!

I never considered a saffron kilt, but will have to now. I especially like the idea of a dark green jacket. Oh, more stuff to lust over.

I have been doing research and shopping for my first kilt.
That is the exact one I had picked out from SWK.
Looks great. How was it dealing with them?
Do you have a picture you could post with belt & sporran. I can't decide if I want to buy black or brown.

As for the flashings, I sent them an email asking about that. Jerry replied ALL Saffron kilts include free flashings, they are not sold separately.

I was also looking into Kilts from The Scotland Kilt Co, Heritage of Scotland and USA Kilt. In my price range the above 3 only have the Irish Heritage tartan, no saffron option. Don't get me wrong I like the IH tartan, but have planned my second kilt will be Ulster weathered. Any one have an opinion of these companies?

Dealing with SWK was very straightforward; I just ordered via the website and waited for it to be delivered.

I've only worn it out once so far but there are no pictures - sorry! Also, I don't wear sporrans, but can't see why either colour wouldn't look equally good.

I haven't dealt with any of these companies yet, so can't comment.

Not sure if all the suppliers you mentioned are middlemen or not. For sure USA Kilts is a kiltmaker. I've had the best success dealing directly with kiltmakers. Have a saffron semi-trad from USA Kilts, a beautiful and well made kilt.

Its nice to be able to talk direct to your kiltmaker - either face-to-face or on the phone. Have yet to read of an unhappy kiltie who did business with Rocky and Kelly. Having purchased 23 kilts from them to date I consider myself qualified to comment on their quality and service.
