And a happy Hogmany to you as well! I am happy, safe and drunk at home, with my lovely wife and best friend of 22 years. Wow he and I have seen a lot of new years together. I can only hope that you all can be as content as I this fine evening.

A happy and prosperous 2010 to one and all!
Had a great night in Edinburgh, even if I had 100 miles of blizzards to drive home through on the way home!

The wife and I met some family and friends out at a local tavern for some food and drinks. We were back home by 10:00pm, but made it to midnight watching the Twilight Zone marathon on SciFi.
I was kilted while out, and a number of folks who didn't know me kept asking if I was "playing tonight." Sometimes I wish I really WAS a bagpiper...!

My brother and his family came to my house to have New Years Day dinner and watch the Rose Bowl today (GO BUCKEYES!!! Woo hoo!! We broke the championship game losing streak- finally...) My nephew told me something rather amusing. One of his friends saw my wife and I pull up to TGI Friday's for dinner last night. My car has a big red Autobot symbol on the hood. For those of you who haven't watched Transformers, it looks like this:
The kid told my nephew that he at first thought it was an Autobot, and then I got out, and he decided that was a Scottobot! I have to remember that one... The kids family was amazed to see one kilted guy and wondered what the odds were- and then my best friend- an Anderson- arrived. They were treated to seeing not one, but two kilted guys- one in a traditional kilt, and one in a contemporary. It seems we made their night.
So- now I need to do a slight redesign to the symbol to actually make it a Scottobot!
Oh yeah, and Robert- that's a great picture!

Stayed home. Listened to the storm outside and the crash of the waves on the beach (a mile away.)
