My Grey Tweed Braemar is from Hector Russell and it runs one size larger than anything made in North America.

So thanks to FM I now have a navy Argyll on the way! Thanks for the heads up, FM!
Dag nabbit! Received an email this AM from HR that my money is being returned because they don't have in stock my size in the Navy Blue Argyll. The quest continues!

Hector Russell were at one time an independant kiltmakers but are now part of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill (EWM) group, which I think is why their prices are now so competitive. I bought a tweed day jacket from their department within the Jas. Pringle shop in Callendar a couple of years ago. It was in a shade called loden green and I stupidly didn't buy the matching waiscoat with it at the time. I enquired about one of these recently but they've discontinued the colour. The jacket cost £99 (I thought the price tag was a mistake! ) and is superb quality. They also sell heavyweight kilts at a discounted price of £199 so I've got my eye on one of those as well.
The Kilt is my delight !
