I should not be allowed around people...
Just got back from a day trip to Tulsa, OK and got to go through Dillard's while we were there. While browsing the men's department, a lovely young lass asked if I was finding everything ok.
I fully executed the "Is this the men's department?"
"Yes sir, it is."
"Then where are the kilts?"
She blinked about 3 times and then said "I can go ask."
My wife then rescued her with the "Please ignore him."
I enjoyed myself today...

Thank you for a lovely story! And I do agree, there should be more accessories for kilts in the shops around the world! (kilts them selves should be bespoke and as such not subject to stock keeping...)

At least she was trying to be a good sales associate... Cute story, sounds like something I would do.

I agree, good story indeed! Her willingness to go and find out the answer to a customer's question, thereby admitting she didn't know is a sign that she puts the customers needs first. Guid on her!
I also agree that there should be kilts and kilt related items stocked in the department stores like Penney's , Dillards and Sears. With apologies I think there is a place for a good "off the rack" kilt. Bespoke is always a good thing but not always attainable. The same goes for hand made tailored suits, but "off the rack" suits are where most of us who have worn business suits for work live. I know there are some who disagree but it's just my opinion.
