Well I dunno - somebody somewhere has got my share of the snow - not one flake of real snow have we seen - pretty twinkly ice crystals and some rain that froze on contact are an insufficient alternative, when other people have got loads of it.
A more democratic share out of the white stuff is a perfectly reasonable demand, and a unilateral decision to receive bonus amounts of snowfall without previous public consultation is taking unfair advantage of present climate conditions.
Maybe people receiving windfall amounts of snow, say above 20inches in any two day period, should be taxed on it.

It's the one thing I miss about no longer living in Canada - no snow sculpture. We get so little that some kids don't know how to make snowmen!

Love the photo - creative work on Nessie! And yeah, I realize that Jim meant this as a light-hearted expression of the conference... I think the mods chose wisely to relocate the post here in Craig's Corner.

I'm still sulking.
Someone is hogging all the snow.
We have not seen a flake of it this year.
OK I am tempting fate to drop a metre of the stuff over the roof - but fair doos now - seeing other people on the TV, having fun in the snow when we have none - really not fair.

Still plenty of snow here, and we have had another inch or so of fresh snow today. In the fields and other places where it has not been cleared it is beginning to accummulate to quite a depth.

I recall how in the early '70's the "Global Cooling" fad was just heating up. It was said that combustion emissions were rising up and choking out the warming radiance of the sun and we would soon suffer the consequences of it with lower average global temperatures. If you'd've asked me at the time I'd've said it was a lot of hot air. But nowadays I'm of the mind to say the cooler heads ought to prevail if we can just use enough ozone depleting hairspray and light up a good Cuban cigar with an alcohol lighter! Provided of course that we only melt enough antarctic glaciers to give the penguins more nesting ground while floating some polar bears southward to feed them on the overage of penguin hatchlings thereby preventing the loss of that apex predator! Go Willie! (Orca)
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

I hope the warmer weather will thaw out Nessie!
