    I echo the comments about why would someone want to use this sett when the wearing the Government sett, plus Regimental Tie if entitled, would already show one’s allegiance to the Black Watch.

    From a technical design point of view this sett just doesn’t do it for me. There's nothing really unique about it and it could easliy be confused with a number of existing designs madded to which, there is no point in have two shades of red in different overstripes as the difference will hardly be noticeable. I’m also not sure that it could be protected from a commercial stand point as the sett, albeit with one shade of red, already exists although not in the public domain.

    A really lovely tartan! For once I think the photo with the young woman gets in the way of seeing the tartan. Now that's saying a lot for a 'registered dirty old man'!
