I'm pretty sure I'm back from Florida by then (going for 4 days) so I plan on going.

I wish I'd seen this earlier. I bought tickets for the World Cafe Burns dinner and whisky tasting with Enter the Haggis playing. Not sure I can come, though I live very nearby.

Oops, World Cafe's Enter the Haggis is Saturday, and Sly Fox is Friday. As we have another Burn's Supper the next weekend, it looks to be over a full week of festivities! I wish I liked Burns better than I do. I suspect I'll be there. Any hints on formality from someone who has been before would be welcome.

the dress code runs the gammut from very IMFORMAL (tshirt and kilt or t-shirt and jeans) to very formal. If you feel like dressing up, feel free, but don't feel that you NEED to.
The Sly Fox runs a SECOND burns supper at their Royersford location which is a bit more formal. I've not been to that one, but have heard it's relatively nice.

MacBean... It was nice to stand and chat with you and your wife. I had an enjoyable time.
Jon... were you there? Did I see or speak to you and not know it was you?

Well Rocky, you pointed at Jon's lovely new Colquhoun kilt that you had made, commented on how it looked like my wife's Leslie Tie, told me Jon's kilt was PV. Of course, perhaps he wasn't in his kilt? Or maybe Jon got there long before you and might have drifted several sheets upwind of you, so perhaps he turned transparent?
