Nope I am ok here because several years ago I watched someone do this poem dressed in his nightshirt but half way thru the prayer he lifts up his nightshirt and takes out a small whisky flask from his shorts underneath (obviiously the reasonong for doing this was to show that Willie who was critical of drinkers, was a hypocrite and liked a drink himself) so i hope to do the same thing tonight.

now that would be an achievement, it must be one of Burns' longest poems.
I would,nt mindhearing that with the two parts, Caesar and Luath.
It would certainly be an enormous task because it is so intense in content

Good Luck, I like Holy Willie's prayer. I think it would be fun to perform, as with Tam o Shanter it really allows for hamming up.

Todd we better get started if we are going to get Twa Dogs learned by next year.

You could even keep the night shirt on as wearing nightwear seems to be high fashion. There was a news item recently of a customer being escorted from Tescos in her pj's. One of my pharmacist colleagues tells me it's common in Glasgow's east end for customers to pick up prescriptions in their pj's and slippers.
