Good news, Alex. Glad to hear you're recovering.
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

In a democracy it's your vote that counts; in feudalism, it's your Count that votes.

An update:-
The good news the pain has all gone and the swelling is almost gone and I won't need surgery on the leg and I am getting out and about more.
The bad news is my blood is still thicker than the doc would have expected and he has increased my dosage of warfarin and extended the course of medication till at least July. It seems I either have a natural tendency towards blood clots or a high tolerance to the rat poison. This has nessitated giving up the private flying on the Pipers and Cessnas. I will be allowed to fly to Boston to go to Loon Mountain for the games and my clan gathering in September but I need to travel on day time flights both ways and take medication. My flights and accommodation for Loon Mountain are now booked but it will be my only trip across the pond this year. Hope to see some of you at Loon Mountain.

Just pleased you're listening to your doctor and following his advice, not minimizing his findings and playing doctor yourself.
