    What is it called?

I see these hats in alot of pipe bands, worn by the major. I just don't know what they are called, and I can't seem to find it on the web! Does anyone know?

Good friends and good beer! Thank God that I'm here!

I'm no expert, but the bear skin hats are the ones worn by the guards at Buckingham Palace.

I can spot a good way to boost my post count when I see it, so I wholeheartedly agree with Radge.
