Ancient Lamont, Pleated to the Stripe

I purchased a kilt in Ancient Lamont in December. Unfortunately I had to wait until I came home on my mid-tour R&R to wear it. (Another tour in Iraq - it is what it is). This is the first kilt in my Clan tartan that I have found that is pleated to the stripe, which obviously appealed to me since it is the traditional military style. I think it is absolutely gorgeous, and I wanted to share it w/ my fellow X-Markers.

A shot of the pleats, to the stripe

    THe obligatory pleat shot

"My beloved America, thank you for your children. If your children want to become soldiers I will train them. When they are hungry I will feed them. When they are thirsty I will give them water. When they fight for freedom I will lead them. When they are unsteady on the battlefield I will motivate them. If they die on the battlefield I will bury them. So help me God."

Beautiful kilt and looks great on you. What are some of the particulars; vendor, material, etc?

From one Lamont to another, cheers to a GORGEOUS kilt! I almost got mine in the ancient colours but really fell for the weathered instead. Hoping to get an ancient one some day!

Aye, I ken. My first kilt was a Lamont Weathered. It's a beautiful tartan no matter what variation!

Inquiring minds would like to know who made the kilt as well as the weight and maker of the tartan material.
