Not only a great look, it explains your love of horsehair sporrans and formal dress.

BINGO!!! I LOVED being in the BW garrison. There were Sporrans, pipes (I think there was a set from Waterloo), tunics, doublets, portraits...It was INCREDIBLE and it had a lasting effect to this day!

Spotted the thumbs right off. Very well done.

My 16 year old summer stint in Canda was in 1960 with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps at Comox on Vancouver Island, B.C. No sign of kilts though.

Did learn close order drill and to do manual of arms the Canadian way.

Was with a small group of U.S. Naval Sea Cadets sent up on an exchange deal.

Heh...my computer screen just dissolved and a tough looking sergeant with one eyebrow (all the way across) fixed me with a basilisk glare and snarled, "Cheerios, Mister. I wanna see CHEERIOS!"

Made me sit back and blibb my lips for a minute, but Sgt. Ball seems to have retreated back into the musty halls of memory from the days when I learned precision D&C.

    Yer lookin' sharp there, troop.
