You have set me thinking Chris. Your recommendation is so helpful for those that might be visiting Mull in the near future. Perhaps we locals and recent visitors ought to do the same? Now I don't mean a full scale advertising campaign, with a list as long as our arm, that would be silly. A quiet bit of local knowledge, or recent experience like yours, could be most helpful to the not so local visitor. Well done.

Jock, I think that's a cracking idea ! A mention of where you stayed, a good place to eat and maybe photos of the surrounding area .

You've caught the light perfectly. Photos like these make better viewing than those taken in the heat of summer. Cloud adds interest to a photo.

Near Fionnphort is the Red Bay Cottage, John Wagstaff, proprietor. Used to be a B&B now a gourmet restaurant, wonderful experience.
Other sights I will never forget is the (1) washer and dryer at the boat dock at Bunessan, the only public washer on the west of end of the Island (at least 10 years ago) I now really know what a Scotsman wears under his kilt as I folded a families laundry as it dried!
And finally do not miss the small stone circle near Lochbuie. An oddly healing place, my mom's arthritis cleared up for almost 3 years after an hour visit there, including her lab work) A true thin place
