If you wish to strengthen the leather then use white PVA woodglue and a sturdy fabric, cut pieces to fit within the sporan, and carefully glue then in place - pad the inside so the fabric is held against the leather as it dries, and be careful not to get any glue where it shows, nor to use so much glue that it oozes out between the stitches. A bag shape can be sewn or the edges left unfinished - the glue will hold it securely.
If you use the non waterproof type of glue the fabric can be damped, left for a while and then peeled off if replacement is ever required.
