Thanks for the great comments. After posting these pics, several Xmembers are now thinking about (or have) ordering Brian Boru jackets.
My personal opinion: I prefer the rounded lines of the BB over the PC.
Anyway, St. Kilda still has a fabulous deal, so check it out if you're up for a BB.

Den:
Very sharp looking jacket and the buttons are great. I was just curious why you opted for black over green, just personal preference?
I have a Maid of Erin kilt pin for my saffron and green kilts, and particularly with those lovely buttons I would really recommend one.
Definitely appreciate the pics as I have been mulling this for a bit.

Darn fine jacket! The shades totally make the look.

Seanachie, I liked the green, also, but the special deal at St. Kilda was for black, so I just went with that. If a green one ever comes along, at a great deal, then I'd snatch that up, too.
Thanks, again, for all the great comments. I was wondering what type of fancy hose to go with. Diced? Argyle, and what color? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Well, Argyle hose would certainly look nice. But if you want to go with diced, I recommend a red and green to match the tartan, perhaps with castellated tops. I think that would look very nice!

Thanks, Matt. I'll probably do the red/black diced for now, but will eventually have you do the custom hose to match my tartan.

I've been wanting one of those for a while. Now I want one all the more... Thanks for those pics!

I just checked St. Kilda's site for the Holyrood (Brian Boru), and it seems like they still have these at a fantastic price. I'm not sure of what sizes they have left, though.

For anyone still interested in purchasing a BB jacket>>>just saw them advertised on Ebay. These are St. Kilda brand. Unfortunately, not many sizes to choose from.

Couldn't find them. What do we search for? Search terms or item number perhaps would help?
