Sorry you couldn't be there. It was unanimous........ we had our best Kilt Night ever! Four of us met up at Rattlesnake Jakes, had a full rack of baby back ribs for $14.95, a few brews, and then caravanned the short distance to Bruce's (Flagfolder) secluded "compound" up the hill in Morongo Valley.

Bruce is a gracious host, and had a cooler full of ales, so after a brief tour of his acreage, we settled down around a roaring campfire, told stories, laughed, passed the flask, and gazed up at the stars. Every time Bruce put more wood on the fire, it was a reason to crack up! How many old wooden chairs do you have Bruce??

Yolande (Yolandequarterscot) kept us in stitches with her dry English wit, and John (JStewart) kept us laughing with his USMC humor. Bruce demonstrated his many hidden talents (ie, potato chip flinging), and I (rollerboy_1979) made a vain attempt to perfect my lousy Scottish accent (can you say "Crrrrrrap!).

Those who could not attend missed something special. We four bonded last night, and have determined that we will keep our monthly Kilt Night tradition alive, no matter how many attend. We know one thing, no more pricey, snooty places for us. The non-touristy places seem to fit our tastes and pocketbooks. Stay tuned for our May location, and consider what you could have offered around the campfire last night (we could use an amateur astronomer). We may reprise the venue if Bruce will have us and can get another fire permit.

Cheers!
