    My birthday 2010

This year, I asked my friends to get dressed up for my birthday. In between looking fancy, eating steak, and drinking booze, I somehow picked up a new name: Nick Guire! The hostess mistook McGuire in our table booking

First stop, the Keg Mansion. Former home of the Massey family and now a steak house:

At the entrance, waiting for the rest of the crew to arrive. My buddy (in the Grant tartan) hadn't worn his kilt since high school graduation and I was pleased that he decided to join in the fun:

Bee and I toasting my advancing age:

At the exit, with the gang, after dinner:

Next stop, the Irish Embassy Pub:

Some of my friends came from out of town and missed dinner. At least this fellow wore his dinner jacket!

The Green Spot is fine whiskey and also marked the end of the evening. Good times all around:

Thanks for sharing your birthday with us. It looks like you had a great time with good friends. That is one nice-looking group of friends you have, and that's a very impressive Keg!

Nice to see everyone not merely having a great time but looking great as well.

Seeing the Keg Mansion brings back memories - it was a student hangout once upon a time - and my daughter was born nearby, in the former Wellesley Hospital.

It is indeed an impressive Keg and apparently has some ghosts

NewGuise, I hear the building belonged at one point to UofT and was also another restaurant before the Keg. What sort of a student hangout was it in your memories? Did you ever see any ghosts?

Never had Green Spot but I do reckon you should try a shot of that JW Blue Label that's lurking in the background. Trust me, it's a cracker (for a blended).

    Love this picture...
