I see ghosts just looking at the pictures, now...

But yes, the former Euclid Hall has an interesting history, of which I only remember bits and pieces; it's also been home to a radio station and an art gallery, if I remember correctly. It was apparently bequeathed to Victoria College at the University of Toronto at one point, and still technically belonged to UofT when I was there, although leased to the Keg. The university's Department of Medical Bio-Physics - the cancer research unit - was housed in Princess Margaret Hospital, then pretty much next door, so those students (including the mother of my daughter!) formed the core of the group who hung out there.

    It's a great building.

Nice photos, happy birthday, and wear the kilt more often. While I enjoyed your photos I was again striken by how out of place the trouser-wearing gents appear amongst a gathering of kilted gents.

The Mansion was actually owned by Princess Margaret Hospital until it moved to it's new location. It was, if I remember correctly, a bar called "the Bombay Bicycle Club". Originally it was the home of the Massey family of Massey-Fergusson tractor fame. As well the actor Raymond Massey is a close relative. Supposedly it is occupied by more than one ghostly spirit. Mind you the only spirits I encountered there were bottled, some did haunt me the next day.....

    Love this picture...
I've never tried the JW Blue Label but I'd like to A friend of mine was in an awarding winning Carnival group in Trinidad one year and they apparently had JW Blue Label on tap at the after party!

I like the photo too but I can't take credit for it... it's from Flickr via Google images:

Hi, CMcG – since you cited this thread in response to Jock Scot’s challenge, I found it most interesting. A pity only two of you were kilted, but it seems a good time was had by all.
Since the Massey family that owned the mansion in earlier times was the one that held shares in Massey-Ferguson, would this have been the home of Charles Vincent Massey, Governor-General of Canada?
He was a namesake of my father-in-law (who was also Charles Massey), and we believe there is a family connection going back to Ireland.
    Regards,
    Mike
