How many SWK kilts do you own?
A recent conversation with another person has prompted me to ask the following questions:
1. How many Stillwater kilts do you own?
2. Why did you buy SWK? As opposed to other kilt makers.
3. What is the main use of your SWK?
I don't want to compare SWK to anyone else. Just want to how many you have, why you bought it, and when you use it.

1. How many Stillwater kilts do you own?
One.
2. Why did you buy SWK? As opposed to other kilt makers.
I wanted to buy a first kilt without spending a ton of money as I was unsure how much I would use it, however, I only wanted a wool kilt, which limited the low cost options.
3. What is the main use of your SWK?
It covers my nether regions. ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
I use it just like my other kilt, although if I am going hiking or doing something where I suspect the potential for getting dirty is high, I tend to choose the stillwater over my "nice" kilt.

1. How many Stillwater kilts do you own?
Four: 2 standards, 2 heavyweights
2. Why did you buy SWK? As opposed to other kilt makers.
My first kilt was an SWK (an Irish National given to me by my wife as a birthday present). I loved it, and because the price was right I bought a couple more.
3. What is the main use of your SWK?
I wear them whenever. The acrylics I also use as a warm but lightweight everyday kilt during the Winter here in the coastal region of Northern California.

1. How many Stillwater kilts do you own?
One, though technically I haven't received it yet I still consider it mine since its in the mail ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
2. Why did you buy SWK? As opposed to other kilt makers.
There are two other places to buy a kilt in my area, one of them advertised on this board , Burnetts & Struth is a fine kiltmaker, with some decent kilts starting at $200
However, when your finnishing your college diploma like myself, your budget is well under $200, so I bought a SWK standard, my friend bought one last december and loves it, so that is why I choose SWK over other budget friendly kilt makers
3. What is the main use of your SWK?
It will be for going out to the bar, which is normally only once a month when we find money or a reason to celebrate, and also I plan to wear it to my wedding during the reception next year if I don't have another one buy then

I own 2 right now, both standards. I will be putting them up for sale very soon to help finance some other purchases. I bought them for the value, and can attest as others do that they are a very solid value. I've worn them everywhere except to the more formal outings, but would not be ashamed to wear them anywhere.

I have one Kilt from SWK. I bought the Irish National Tartan standard.
I bought from SWK probably more for the price and quality for the price. In choosing a kilt maker since I was interested in several different tartans at one time, some of which were rare and hard to find, I selected SWK simply because I felt I got a better made kilt at a reasonable price. I wear my SWK kilt anywhere and everywhere, fishing, around town, rattlesnake handling, going to church or formal event essentially whatever. I found that you can always dress up a casual kilt but cannot dress down a formal one. Plus the customer service at SWK I thought was pretty good too.
Cheers

I own 2. Both Standards.
I bought them because of the reasonable price and the quality of craftmanship.
I wear them when I don't want to risk damaging my good kilt. I wear them to church, pub crawls, whiskey tastings, Highland Games, etc.
