    Jock,

this was the first thing that came to mind when I read Todd's post.
Having one time belonged to S.A.M.S. (due to finances I've had to cut way back on 99.9% of my affiliations/memberships) I know that there are any number of ex-service Brits & Commonwealth members in S.A.M.S., and I'm sure the organization would be more than happy to assist you.

    Cheers.

One other organization to keep in mind for such occasions is Bugles Across America. It's a loose collection of volunteers who will provide a live bugler for military funerals. Between the number of WWII and Korean War vets passing away and current casualties of Iraq and Afghanistan, the US services just don't have enough actual musicians to go around. Many, many times they will employ an electronic bugle, which just isn't the same thing. I think a real live bugler is one of those small touches that is actually very meaningful.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.
