You mean the third of course. We ran two contests a couple years ago. One for individual shot and one for group shot of Xmarkers.

I vote for the guy assaulting the rubber chicken. Whatever it takes to get that kilt check (even from a novelty item) eh, Grant!!

I like the last of the three.

They are all nice photos, but the first one has a pair of shorts front and center! The middle one with the drummers, I'm afraid could give a false image of the kilt. Cropped as it is, the average viewer might not notice that these are all drummers who have shifted their sporrans around and that we are looking at the rear of the kilts. At a quick glance it could appear to be a group of men all wearing their kilts backwards!

I don't know how you wear your kilts down in NC but we here in Ontario tend to wear the pleats at the fr...

I thought that was to represent the members who don't have kilts yet ...

I thought the first one was pretty clever, on that same assumption.

Mind you, if we're doing tenuous links, I went for a walk up a hill today in genuine Monarch of the Glen Country.

So here's the Wee Black Dug gazing into the distance, with the backdrop of the Munro Creag Pitridh, beyond which lies, er, Loch Bogle.

It also qualifies under the "Spring in Scotland" category of course.
    Enjoy every sandwich.

Grant I've spent time in both Ontario and North Carolina and I've got to say, for me anyway, the pleats go in the back no matter where I am

This means that panorama type formats would be best.

It seems to me that to do this you would need 13 kilts shown in a line something like this:

I included an X Marks the Scot tartan kilt in the center that I robbed from another post. (for demonstration purposes only...)

Obviously all the kilts should be a different tartan, or if you prefer, they should all be X Marks the Scot tartan. (the second option is harder to stage.)

Another thought: Should they all wear identical hose for visual uniformity?

    What say you, rabble?

I like your picture idea quite a lot, but am not a fan of the idea that the hose would match. It might lend the appearance of "kilt hire attire".

I say if all the hose were white, you might have a riot on your hands.

Bring it on. The strong will survive!
(Don't get me wrong, I won't be posing with them.)

The more that I look at it I am actually liking the the shot that fluter provided. The variety of the colors, poses and angles makes it an interesting shot.
