Seriously though- At least I didn't give away any of the "good" photos.

I have never really cared for the various traditional styles of head gear that go along with wearing a kilt. That is until now, I must say, I really like the look of these. Rest assured I will be putting in an order as soon as they become available. They really look great. Congrats Mr Ross, you have some serious skills dude.

What's the circumference of your noggin? They are rather stretchy, so I'm sure they can be made to accomodate most humanoid craniums, but I'll let my knitter give a definitive answer.

We don't vend at Gatlinburg, we just set up a tartan info table for the museum. However, if you are coming through Franklin on the way up we should have a few of these bonnets in stock. Or, if you let us know what color you want we can bring one up to Gatlinburg to deliver for you.

Very nice! The style is first half of the 19th C., I believe. Remove the pom-pom from a blue one and you'd have a perfect Jacobite-period bonnet as well...!

Just like Matt said, it would take a very large skull indeed to not fit into one of these bonnets as they come, I think.

With that in mind though, making one that's a bit larger in the band (or the over-all circumfrence for that matter) would not pose a problem.

In addition, we'd certainly be willing to contract for a more custom type of bonnet, as well- If someone wanted a Christmas red bonnet with a white band and large white toorie, for example, that would pose no problem!

Thanks! That's exactly what I had in mind, and in fact, there will be a standard "no toorie" option for those who are looking for a Jacobite period or earlier look, or who just don't like the fuzz-ball!
