I too have done business with John and concur that he is responsive and quick. You do get what you pay for, but that being said, his products certainly work for casual.

I bought a sporran, 8y "Wool-like" kilt, hose, pin, and belt from him, the belt, sporran, and hose are all good quality, the kilt, well, it's really furry and is pilling REALLY bad where my sporran sits, it actually looks like I have a dress sporran there now.....LOL
The pin is OK, except that the clasp is so loose that it is constantly coming undone, which is a pain.
I would stay away from the kilt, but get anything else you want..
