Thank you, sir, for the story. I will be in Arras and in Vimy with a group of students on 12 June, and - while we will likely not get to the Arras Memorial itself, at the Faubourg-d'Amiens Cemetery - I will be thinking of Lance Corporal Robertson that day.

Thanks for your story of your great uncle's sacrifice. We so often forget that though history books recount the big picture, that picture is made up of the lives of individuals, people like him.
