I'd have to say every colour goes with Black Watch tartan, except white. Black looks pretty dismal though.

I think it's hard to go wrong with hose in lovat blue, lovat green, bottle green, and dark red for just about any tartan. Okay, maybe not dark red with a red-based kilt in the Ancient color scheme.

Being overly matchy looks contrived to my eye. Akin to having every bit of your clothing bear a "clan crest". Just overdone...

Those hose will go perfectly with you Black Watc kilt, they will also go very well with the Black Stewart. I have a pair of hose just like those that I wear with both SWK Black Watch and Black Stewart kilts.

LOL, Ted, the more I am here the more I agree that the whole matching business - with Highland attire, at least - is highly overrated.
