Well....appreciate the update but fears remain.
Can't understand why the doctors don't just pile all his kilts on top of him and let all the positive energy from those kilts run off the bad stuff. I think it would work....really...kilts are healing.

My Gosh! The combined weight of all that wool would probably crush him!! I think maybe they could be rotated. Just put 4 or 5 at a time on and let them do their magic. Hopefully he'll be up and about before he runs out of kilt combinations.

Old tradition says that you have to wrap the person in red wool to heal them, so perhaps a selective usage of kilts might do the trick. I do think that well wishes do more good than we realize, I just don't know how it works. So here's my well-wishes too Hamish!

That must be why petticoats dyed with red madder were considered healthy.
(Petticoat was the term for a unisex garment at the time of the restoration of the monarchy in the UK. They would, however, almost certainly have had lace. Not that lace is a bad thing, in moderation, it is just that they didn't do much moderation.)
Healing thoughts and good vibes have been heading East from here for a while now.

So many thanks to you all for your kind words, thoughts and prayers, the strength of which are a tremendous help to me right now. The combined effects of chemo and radiotherapy are not suiting me at all well but I have only just over another week of those to endure. However, I have faith that the treatments are working and that surgery will be possible in a few months time.
If you have sent me private messages or E-mails and I have not yet replied, please forgive me - I will do so (provided my 'scribe' remains nearby) but it might take a while longer yet.
[Typed by 'another' but dictated by me]
Take care,
Ham.
PS: The kilts are attracting a massive following among the staff and other regular patients at The Sussex Cancer Centre which I attend daily. Thus far I have selected a different one each day to keep them guessing!
