Pretty balmy day here in the BC interior (about 15 C) but very windy. Winter was really mild and spring has been cooler than usual...I think it's actually global averaging that's going on

I'm in Terrace, British Columbia (far north of the province, near the coast/Alaska border) -- surrounded by snow-covered mountains, but the valley itself is in full spring. Bliss!

It snowed here in the Portland / Vancouver area last week. We don't get snow!

Didn't you have some sort of games in that general area that needed some snow a few months ago?

Snow in the Nebraska-South Dakota-Wyoming tri-state area.
All I can say is I don't mind snow, even in July...as long as someone else does the shoveling.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

Dust Cloud... might also have something to do with it. A dust cloud like that can block the sun and lower the temp.

Alex, I have a theory about these things. And we have been having our ups and downs here - freezing one day and hot the next. Snow out of season and that sort of thing. My theory involves Scotch Whisky and ice cubes. Get yourself a glass and pour some of your favorite single malt into it. Now drop in an ice cube. Do you doubt that the world of that little ice cube is getting warmer as you sip? But what is happening to the Scotch? Amazing. The profundity of this lesson becomes more clear with each repetition of the experiment. I encourage it - really.
