    It snowed here in the Portland / Vancouver area last week. We don't get snow!

    Snow in the Nebraska-South Dakota-Wyoming tri-state area.

    All I can say is I don't mind snow, even in July...as long as someone else does the shoveling.
    The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

    I was trying really hard not to mention the flip flops and shorts weather during the Winter Olympics.

    A warming climate can mean more rain and snow in some places, on average, over decades, at some parts of the year - it can mean that some places will have a really wet season and a really dry season where they used to have four seasons and a greater mixure of weather. The key features seem to be alteration and greater extremes with an element of surprise mixed in.

    The weather can make you wonder where and when to go on holiday, the climate can influence where and how you make a living.
