First, do you want PV or Wool? Once there, find the tartan you want. Then go to the different Kilt makers and see who has the best quality and price. That is how I do it. I choose the tartan and fabric first, then I see who I want to make it.

What about the wonderful Xmarksthescot tartan? I heard rumors of a new weaving in progress in both PV and 16oz wool.
I think a nice 8 Yard PV or wool kilt is most versatile.

Yes, it is true.
I have requested a special weave of the X Marks the Scot Tartan in 16oz and 13oz Wool, and also in 12oz Polyester/Rayon. All to be woven by Marton Mills.
Please watch for the announcement as I expect the fabric to arrive any day now.

AWESOME!!! Then I get to FINALLY order a kilt from freedom kilts and that will leave me with 1 more kilt maker ("Sigh"-A Dr.Tewksbury kilt....) to go and my collection of N.A. Kilt makers will be complete!
OMG-I just realized that I have not bought from Keltoi yet!! Make that 2 more to go.

Well, obviously, steve can make it. However, I would like to just purchase the fabric and then have it made later.
