    If the invite says 'Black Tie', go with the Argyll and bow tie. I know the only restriction here in the States to 'dress' at a Lodge function would be the sgian. Check with your WM to see if he objects, if required in England. Not too familiar with your Craft Lodges across the pond, yet.

    Thanks Jamie, I'm now sorted. Going with the black tie look exactly same as the photo, save for the plaid. However I will wear a collared dress shirt as there is one Scottish brother attending who I know can't abide wearing a wing collar, and I wouldn't want to appear to "outdress him".
