The Return of the Viking!
Hey guys!
I haven't been able to log in to my account for a few months. The reason for that is that my computer had a hard-drive attack (yes----again!) and I just recently got it back, and am able for the first time in months to log in to this fantastic site! I now have to find the time to look at all the threads and discussions that I missed!
I have been able to don the kilt a lot, and have got nothing but nice comments from people. I have worn it to many occasions and I enjoy every minute of it and I'm seriously thinking of purchasing another one (looks like I've caught the fever!).
I just now saw a thread that Barb wrote about the volcanic eruption of Eyjafjallajökull and it was great. It wasn't really big( the eruption ) and didn't do any harm to the people living closest to it. The ash, on the other hand, has caused a lot of trouble (as many of you have witnessed first hand) and ruined a lot ,especially for the farmers in the region close to the volcano. The ash never really came to Reykjavík so it never had any effect on my daily life. But fortunately the eruption has ceased and it's time to visit Iceland!
Summer has reached and it's more beautiful then ever before. The nature is in bloom and the weather is great. Last night I went on a midnight hike with my friends and now the sun never sets and I have to say that these nights are the most amazing thing I've ever witnessed. Just you, the nature and the midnight sun. You just cant put a price on that!
Here is a little link I want to share with you and I hope that you will take the time to check it out; watch some of those videos and even the webcams http://www.inspiredbyiceland.com/home/?site_locale=en
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope I didn't make you die of boredom. Cheers to you all, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
P.S: I will be back-packing across the country this summer so I won't be able to log in a lot but I promise to take as many photos as I can and I'll post 'em all here!
