Thanks to everyone who has contributed thus far. I invite those who have posted pics already to feel free to post more! Anyone who hasn't posted yet, please do so at your convenience.
As for those naughty people who have posted comments or questions without a photo, shame on you! I'm not trying to be crusty here; a picture thread is a valuable resource, which is weakened by extraneous additions. This thread requires a pic in order to post, so you (GMan, Xena, Tartan Tess, and BoldHighlander) should edit your posts immediately in order to redeem yourselves.

These traditional looking kilts follow the same fashion guidelines as a hand sewn wool tartan one. The same goes for solid color traditional looking kilts (which are actually more traditional than tartan ones!)

I think I will agree with Panache that traditional looking kilts -- despite their construction -- fail to appear truly modern. A well written caveat regarding what materials or design make a trad looking kilt modern is helpful... but let's try stick to modern looking kilts, shall we?
Now just so I don't break the pic/post rule, I'm posting the most formal pics of a modern kilt that I've ever seen. Here is a chap who really dressed up a Utilikilt for his wedding, including black spats!

Alright! I'll bite. Here's a picture of my olive green Amerikilt:
Does "vacation" qualify as a style? If so... that's my mode of dress.
And my digicam Flamingo kilt. Same style... Vacation! These pictures were both taken at the Great Sand Dunes National Park a few weeks ago.
I like this thread!

Box pleated even! I like that! I'd love to have a modern style kilt in box pleats.
