This is what they gave me at the post office - a parcel the size of a big book. Not at all like the impressive and sturdy packaging I received with my Freedom Kilt. I wondered if the seller had sent a sporran or something like that instead of my kilt.



Fortunately, I was proved wrong. There was indeed a kilt inside the plastic. It is made of 16oz wool in Scotland by John Morrison Kiltmakers.





As already noted, I had to move the strap a bit to make the kilt fit me. So I carefully pinned the lining aside, detached the strap and let Old Faithful do the sewing. Quite simple, very clean.



Then I put the kilt on again. I currently only have one sporran, the used-jeans one. So, that's what I wore.



And here's the pleat shot. You can see here also the "2/3 kilt hose" I wear with my Dr. Martens boots so they don't turn to portable saunas.



My only concern about this kilt is that I think I'll have to make a new sporran to go with it.
